Our Rehabilitation Team

The rehabilitation team consists of Tony Tassone (registered physiotherapist and managing partner), Tim Blundon (registered physiotherapist), and Jessica Carson (registered kinesiologist). Each professional is a member in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario respectively. In addition, we have physiotherapy assistants who, under the direct supervision of a physiotherapist, help to implement the treatment plan for patients. We all bring a vast array of knowledge, experience and specialized skills to the team that has collectively allowed us to become a long standing, reliable, well established, and respected physiotherapy clinic.

As members of the healthcare community, we try to share our expertise by offering learning opportunities through the provision of student placements at all educational levels (high school cooperative education, college diploma, and university degree programs).

Tony Tassone, Physiotherapist

A lifelong resident of Thunder Bay, Tony graduated from Port Arthur Collegiate Institute. He was immediately accepted into the University of Toronto’s physiotherapy program and graduated in 1992. Since then, he has been working in his hometown. He has taken numerous courses in manual therapy, acupuncture, and shockwave therapy which shows his commitment to professional development.

Tony tries to live a healthy lifestyle and he has instilled these values in his family. He exercises regularly at a local gym and can also be seen playing baseball with his two sons or softball with his daughter, or going for a bike ride with his entire family.

Tony also has a strong commitment to his community. He has been involved with Lakehead Express Soccer Club, Soccer Northwest, Italia Juventus Soccer Club, and Italian Cultural Centre. He has coached Little League Baseball and provided physiotherapy services for the Thunder Bay Chill Soccer Club, high school football, high school cheerleading, and OFSAA wrestling.

Tim Blundon, Physiotherapist

Tim is a registered physiotherapist who graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. He also completed an Honours Bachelor Degree in Kinesiology at Lakehead University and was the recipient of the Dean Braun Medal (awarded to the graduate with the highest grade point average).

Tim practises acupuncture and shock wave therapy and has completed additional courses in manual therapy, Kinesio® taping and soft tissue release.

Tim enjoys being physically active and travelling with his wife and two sons. You can find him walking or biking along the trails, at his favourite golf course, or at the fishing lake. He is a proud supporter of the Special Olympics and its athletes. His goal is to be a physiotherapist travelling with its provincial and national teams.

Jessica Carson, Kinesiologist
